Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StepOff mobile app and website (together, the "Service"), operated by Errante Group. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Who can use StepOff

You must be at least 13 years old to use StepOff. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Your account

You're responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You may sign in with Apple, Google, or an email and password. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, manipulated, or artificially generated step data.
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate other users.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that compromise the fairness or integrity of competitions.

Competitions and fair play

StepOff is for friendly competition. Step data is sourced from Apple Health and reflects what your device records. StepOff does not award any money or prizes; competitions are for fun and motivation only. We are not responsible for disputes between participants.

Health disclaimer

StepOff is not a medical or fitness-advice service. Step counts are provided for entertainment and motivation and may not be perfectly accurate. Always use common sense and consult a healthcare professional before starting or intensifying any physical activity. You participate in competitions at your own risk.

Your content

You retain ownership of the information you provide. By using the Service, you grant us the limited right to store and display that information as needed to operate StepOff (for example, showing your name and step totals on a leaderboard to others in your competition).

Service availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We don't guarantee the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Errante Group will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which for a free app is zero.

Termination

You may stop using StepOff and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
